HOSA travel packing list

You will be gone for 5 nights, 6 days. Think of what you need each night to feel comfortable. K

Who are you? Bring your school / Health Academy picture ID. Also, bring anything you could pin on your blazer (the one with the most pins is like a stud, or a studette!)

Toiletries: From shampoo, soap, toothbrush, deodorant, lotion to all the special needs – bring it.

Clothes: Hopefully, you sleep in something while at home. Bring it. It’s cold, bring a jacket, long sleeve, short sleeve. Be ready to be cool, warm, hot, cool, cold.

HOSA uniform: All events require HOSA blues, or your scrubs. If CPR/FA, bring scrubs & blues.

Casual clothes: No ripped / holey jeans. Better grab some thread! The only time HOSA uniform is HOSA events. Otherwise, CVUSD dress code applies. Wanna let it all hang out? Don’t! If you do, first, you’ll be cold. 2nd , you can’t come out of your room.

Do you like freezing? Don’t bring what’s listed in “Clothes” above.

There are HOSA pool parties at Sheraton & Hyatt. Wanna go? Bring trunks / bathing suit. No thong Speedos, please (ewwh).

Money makes the world go round. Bring some, but don’t waste it on $4 Starbucks drinks. If you want to fit in, buy one of the $1 Starbucks reusable cups and refill it each day. Drink with pride and a smile and save your $. Past HOSA members say $100 is more than enough. Your breakfasts & dinners are covered. Save a banana and yogurt from breakfast.

Special Events: Wednesday is San Francisco! We’ll take a train ride from Sacramento to San Francisco, then back by 21:00.

Airport Security: No liquid >3 oz. allowed in carry-on. You can check up to 2 bags (<50 lbs.), and have one (1) carry-on.

Video Games? Well, after hours when you’re in your room, maybe it’s okay. Or, maybe, you should be following up on your competition, or the contact information you received from others throughout the day.
